Well, we'll see if an old dog can or cannot be taught new tricks, but I'm willing to jump through hoops in order to try. For someone who started out working in libraries before there were computers in libraries this will be a stretch; however, since I plan to be working for some time yet I feel it's important to keep up. Plus, it's pretty exciting and I think that it's great that Fawn is holding our hands as we go forward into 2.0 land.
I knew that blogging had become pretty mainstream when I started a new J. A. Jance series featuring Ali Reynolds and much of the story is advanced through the main character's blog transcriptions. And Jance is no spring chicken so I'd better get with it.
I welcome any help and especially tips on redecorating the site.

I'm glad to see that you've picked a template to your liking and it adds a nice vintage look to the blogosphere. ;)
Good to hear that your willing to "jump through the hoops" in order to try new things; I think that it's a very important quality in our line of business, but it's not always easy in our busy lives.
I can't believe it's taken us this long to get our blog feet wet. But at least we have lots of newbie company on the plunge in.
